Ox + Anchor, in partnership with the SLO Film Fest, invites you to enjoy a screening at the adjacent Palm Theater of the new documentary Julia about the beloved cookbook author and unlikely TV star who brought French cooking into the hearts and homes of America with her revolutionary book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
Chef Ryan, who grew up watching Julia’s cooking shows on KQED with his mom and grandmother, is a big fan and knows a bit about French cooking through his time in the French California kitchens of Thomas Keller and Auberge du Soleil. As a tribute to Julia, Chef Ryan will feature a special menu of French classics in addition to the regular Ox + Anchor menu to coincide with the screenings of the film at the Palm Theater.
